Floors Honored with Story Lab Selection in UK

We’re excited to announce that Floors has been selected as one of the books for this summer’s Story Lab. The Summer Reading program is the biggest of it’s kind in the UK and encourages young readers to win medals by reading books and doing challenges along the way (see video below). This year they are tying it into the London Olympic Games.

For more info watch this short YouTube video and check out the links below from the organizations responsible for putting it on.

This is a fantastic program to be a part of. Check out some of the stats from 2011:

– 780,000 children took part in the Summer Reading Challenge (43% were boys).
– 444,600 children read at least 6 books during the Challenge.
– 97% of UK public libraries took part through 4,000 libraries and mobile libraries.
– 55,000 children became new library members to do the Challenge.
– 345,000 children got involved in 17,400 events
