Author
Patrick Carman is the award-winning author of many books for young adults and children. He grew up in Salem, Oregon, and graduated from Willamette University. His birthday is February 27th, 1966. He spent a decade living in Portland, where he worked in advertising, game design, and technology.
Patrick Carman has been a life long writer and storyteller. He writes books for young adults and children for Scholastic and Little Brown Books For Young Readers. His bestselling series work includes The Land of Elyon, Atherton, Elliot’s Park, 39 Clues, and Skeleton Creek. Mr. Carman’s books have been translated into approximately two dozen languages.
Mr. Carman spends his free time supporting literacy campaigns and community organizations, fly fishing, playing basketball and tennis, doing crosswords, watching movies, dabbling in video games, reading (lots), and (more than anything else) spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Hi! I LOVED The Land of Elyon series. Two questions, one,what did you mean when at the end of book four,Stargazer, Alexa said “I have found my way home?” Two, is there a book 5 coming out? If there isn’t I think you should write one,and if there is one in the making, when it comes out I’ll be the first to buy it! My favorite book is Stargazer, and I loved the twist where Matilda was being controled by Abaddon!
P.S. U are the best author EVER!!!!!!!!! Also, I think they should make the books into movies.

Oh my god, I feel in love with the series of Skeleton Creek! I admire how Ryan and Sarah always get themselves mixed up into all kinds of trouble. I refuse to put the book down, and once I start reading, I don’t realize how much time passes by! Sarah’s videos are so real, the fact that some are made on an old camera that seems home movie kind, it just adds a scarier factor to the video. Anyways I love your books, and will be the first to buy more at my school’s book fair!

I first met your daughters at Prospect Point, then later when I subbed for a former student, Jim Lux, at Green Park. The girls are both bright and creative, just as you are! I remember them sharing about your Scholastic bus tours that year, and you saying that once was enough!
